Sasaki's nickname "Daimajin", which translate to big (dai) demon (ma) god (jin) reflects his ability to win just about any game he is brought into. In just four seasons with Seattle, Sasaki is the all-time saves leader in the Mariners organization. Sasaki also was the leader in saves back home, but now his record has been broken by another Japanese Major Leaguer, Shingo Takatsu. Pictured here is his card from the 2003 Fleer Platinum set, where he just collected another save and is being congratulated by his catcher Dan Wilson.
