Sun Woo "Sunny" Kim
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
Height:  6'1"
Weight: 190 lbs.
Born: September 4, 1977 in Incheon, South Korea

With plenty of international experiences, Kim helped lead the Korean Junior National Team to two world baseball championships in 1994 and 1995. In 1996, at the age of 18, Kim was the youngest player on the National Team to represent South Korea in the Summer Olympics held in Atlanta. Kim decided to sign with the Red Sox after played with the National Team in an exhibition at Boston's Fenway Park. After the game, Kim took some of the dirt from the pitching mound home with him and vowed that he would return one day as a professional, and he did, it just did not last as long as he had hoped as he was soon traded to the Expos. Pictured here is his card from the 2003 Edmonton Trappers team set, a card written in English, but showing him pitching in Canada, and he is from South Korea!
