Samuel Franklin Narron
Big southpaw came from a baseball family, his father Richard Narron was an All-American at East Carolina and played professionally in the New York Mets organization. His grandfather and namesake, Sam Narron, combined to play 24 games with the St. Louis Cardinals. His cousin, Jerry Narron, managed both Texas Rangers and Cincinnati Reds. Pictured here is his 2004 Upper Deck SP Prospects card, where it was retro uniform day at the first and so far the only game he pitched in the Major League.
