Joe Mauer
2004-Current

Joseph Patrick Mauer
Bats: Left
Throws: Right
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 230 lbs.
Born: April 19, 1983 in St. Paul, MN

Attended the same High School as Hall of Famer and former Minnesota Twins' great legend Paul Monitor, the first time I heard of Mauer’s name was not when he got drafted by the Minnesota Twins, but a few months earlier when he was a blue chip recruit to play football at Florida State. Looked like Mauer made the right decision of picking baseball as a career, where he became the 1st catcher to lead the Major League in batting average when he accomplished the feat in 2006. Pictured here is his 2002 Topps Draft Picks Rookie Card, the field where he is standing on is the Twins' Minor League Complex based in Fort Myers, Florida, which I personally have been on that field as well as a Minor League interpreter for the Gulf Coast League Red Sox back in 2006.
